Our visitable Sanctuaries
in Austria and Germany

Gut Aiderbichl Bayern in Eichberg near Deggendorf, on the Danube, was established in 2006. The main stable and a dozen rescued horses, which form the heart of the estate, were a legacy from Dr. Hatto Egerer who saved twelve, poor, rescued horses and gave them sanctuary here. Now, horses, donkeys, mules and ponies, cattle, goats, sheep, pigs and a swan live here.

The “Cat Villa” is another top attraction: it was built in 2008 and is connected to the estate. And there’s a dovecot for pigeons and doves.

The newly built farm stable is home to our cow “Nilpferd” or “Hippo” (her greatest passion is swimming!), the village stier Maxl and his girl Amelie, Galloway stier Ernst and his Conny and many more.

Opposite the farm stable is a wonderful courtyard with a fountain, surrounded by the main stable. In the restaurant, you’ll find coffee, cakes and vegetarian snacks and rooms where you can watch our Aiderbichl animal films.
